The Schubert Family has been in the flooring business for over five generations. They started in Stanley, North Dakota. Lance Schubert's father Charles along with his uncles Buell and Steward Schubert opened a flooring store named Schubert Flooring in Jamestown, North Dakota in 1947.

Lance Schubert and Dorothy Gensburg Schubert were high school sweethearts and graduated in 1948 from Jamestown High School. Lance was taught the flooring trade in High School, often working for the family at the store after school. Dorothy was class valedictorian; they married October of 1949 and will be celebrating their year 63rd wedding anniversary this year. Read more
